About the Journal
The University of Colorado Honors Journal is an interdisciplinary, student-run journal published annually by the Arts & Sciences Honors Program under the supervision of a faculty advisor and the Director of the Honors Program. The Honors Journal presents a collection of works that reflect the utmost talent, diligence, and creativity among undergraduate students at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Each year, the Honors Journal combines undergraduate work from all academic fields including but not limited to: art, creative nonfiction, fiction, gender & ethnic studies, humanities, natural sciences, open media, poetry, and social sciences.
Current Issue
Description: This journal issue includes all original work by undergraduate students at the University of Colorado. It was curated by an editorial board of students in the Arts & Sciences Honors Program. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as the authors, artists, and editors enjoy sharing the work.
Content note: Work published in this journal does not represent the views of the Honors Journal Editorial board, the Honors Program, or the University of Colorado Boulder. A goal of the journal is to uplift student voices, and it publishes work from diverse perspectives. CU and the Honors Journal value all perspectives and encourage free, open, thoughtful conversations about current events and politics in our world.
Resources: The pieces published in the journal reflect research, experiences, imagination, and joys of students at CU Boulder. Some works also express pain, difficult experiences, hard questions, and challenging material. The Editorial Board has added content notes to some of the work that addresses sensitive topics. Our resource list covers the following themes: substance use disorder, homelessness, survivors of violence, grief, death, depression, immigration, and more. While these resources are not exhaustive, we hope they can be of use to individuals experiencing any one of these topics. Please visit the resource list.
